Matthew 28:16-20
Most products we purchase come with an instruction manual—guidance from the creator on how to install, operate, and maintain it. In Matthew 28:16–20, Jesus—the Creator and Sustainer of all—provides His followers with a divine guide for life and mission. Before ascending to the Father, He gathered His disciples on a mountain in Galilee and entrusted them with commands that are essential for every believer who desires to live fully for His glory.
With all authority in heaven and on earth, Jesus commissioned His followers to share the message of salvation with the world: to make disciples of every nation, baptize those who believe, and teach them to obey all that He has commanded. Discipleship is more than a single decision—it is a lifelong journey of growth, obedience, and transformation, empowered by His Spirit and rooted in the truth of God’s Word.
These instructions are not just historical; they are living and active today. The Lord who gave the command also promised His presence: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” His presence equips us, His Word directs us, and His Spirit strengthens us. The question remains personal and urgent: are we following the divine instruction manual in our daily lives, living with the same obedience, faith, and readiness as those first disciples on that Galilean mountain?
