1 Corinthians 15:20-28
In a world swirling with uncertainty, fear, and competing agendas, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Human strategies and clever plans may promise solutions, but they cannot touch the deepest brokenness of the human heart or overcome the finality of death. What we truly need is a plan far beyond our own—a plan rooted in God’s eternal purposes and carried out in perfect wisdom.
That plan begins and ends with Jesus Christ. Paul reminds us that Christ has been raised from the dead—the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. His resurrection is not merely an historical event; it is the cornerstone of hope for every believer. Just as the first sheaf offered in the harvest guaranteed more to come, Christ’s victory over death assures that all who belong to Him will one day rise. Through Adam came death, but through Christ comes eternal life—unshakable, indestructible, and victorious.
God’s plan unfolds in precise order: first Christ, then all who are His, followed by the final defeat of all opposing powers, and ultimately, the abolition of death itself. At last, the Son will submit all things to the Father, so that God may be “all in all.” It is a plan of humility, triumph, and eternal glory—a plan that cannot fail, no matter how chaotic the world may seem.
Consider your place in this divine story. Will you trust the plan that conquers death and restores all things, or cling to the fleeting strategies of the world? How might your perspective change if you truly lived with the certainty that God’s better plan is already in motion, and its victory is assured?
