Revelation 21:1-8
Heaven is not merely a concept—it is home. In Revelation 21:1–8, John invites us to gaze beyond the shadows of this world and into the brilliance of eternity. He sees a new heaven and a new earth, unmarred by sin, sorrow, or death. The former things have passed away, and every tear is wiped away by God’s own hand. The holy city, the New Jerusalem, descends from heaven like a bride adorned for her husband—pure, radiant, and prepared for all who belong to Christ.
In this vision, the gap between heaven and earth disappears. God dwells personally among His people, fulfilling every promise He has ever made. There will be no more pain, no more mourning, no more death—only life, joy, and unbroken communion with our Savior. His invitation is open to all: “To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.”
Revelation 21 reminds us that in a world fixated on the temporary, our true treasure and lasting home are found where Christ is. The City of the Bride awaits those whose hearts thirst for the living God. How does the promise of this eternal home inspire the way you live, hope, and worship today?
