John 9:13-34
The story of the man born blind takes a profound turn, revealing not only physical healing but spiritual insight. What began as a miracle of sight exposes the blindness of those who thought themselves teachers of truth. The religious leaders, proud of their knowledge and position, could not recognize Truth itself standing before them. Their devotion to rules blinded them to God’s grace, while the once-blind man became a living witness to divine power.
Humble and uneducated, he spoke with authority born of experience: “One thing I know, that though I was blind, now I see.” His testimony silenced arguments and revealed that true understanding comes not from titles or tradition, but from encountering Christ personally. Faith and obedience illuminated what years of study could not, showing that God’s wisdom often confounds the proud and uplifts the humble.
Though cast out by those who rejected the truth, the man walked away freer and more enlightened than his critics. His courage stands as a reminder that God’s power transforms hearts and minds, opening blind eyes to spiritual reality. How might your own encounters with Jesus challenge the pride or assumptions in your life? Are you willing to let personal experience of Christ guide your faith above the wisdom of the world?
