Acts 3:12-26
We step into one of the most transformative moments in the early church—Peter’s second sermon from Solomon’s Porch following the miraculous healing of a man lame from birth. The crowd gathers, astonished by what they have witnessed, yet Peter immediately directs their attention away from human deeds and toward Jesus—the Servant and Son of God, rejected, crucified, and raised by God. His words call for repentance, inviting hearts to turn from sin and experience the forgiveness and life found in the name above all names.
Peter’s message breaks through centuries of ritual to reveal the essence of true faith: trust in Jesus Christ. The healed man stands as a living picture of what God desires to do in every soul—restore the spiritually crippled, strengthen the weary, and make whole those broken by sin. Yet the sermon carries a sobering warning: rejection of the Savior leads to ruin, while repentance opens the door to refreshment in God’s presence. This invitation reaches across time, calling each of us to leave the path of rebellion and embrace the blessings made possible through Christ.
On that ancient porch, thousands were transformed by the gospel. The same power that healed, raised, and saved them continues to work today. Will you respond to the call, surrender your heart, and step into the life God offers through Jesus Christ? How is He inviting you to trust and follow Him right now?
