Matthew 11:25-30
We have all made excuses — reasons we give for delay, avoidance, or neglect. Yet there is one call that no explanation can justify ignoring: the invitation of Christ. He beckons every weary heart to lay down burdens too heavy to bear and to find true rest in His presence. The offer is not for the self-sufficient, the proud, or the indifferent, but for those willing to come with humility and trust.
Throughout history, many have heard the truth yet turned away quietly, their apathy as deadly as open rebellion. Cities witnessed miracles, words of life, and still rejected the Savior, illustrating the danger of silent refusal. But Christ does not respond with wrath; He responds with grace. He praises the Father for revealing wisdom to those who recognize their need, who come like children seeking guidance, care, and hope.
Today, the call remains unchanged: come, all who are burdened and heavy-laden. There is no lasting peace outside of Him, no forgiveness apart from His cross. Every excuse fades when weighed against eternity. He promises gentle guidance, shared strength, and the rest our souls long for. The invitation is present, personal, and pressing — will you accept it today, or will the silence of delay speak for you?
