John 7:25-36
In John 7:25–36, Jesus speaks with urgency in the temple during the Feast of Tabernacles: “You will seek Me and will not find Me, and where I am, you cannot come.” His words pierce the chatter of the crowd, cutting through speculation, debate, and doubt with the weight of eternal truth. This moment reminds us that the opportunity to respond to God is not limitless. There is a time when “too late” becomes reality.
The crowd wrestled with who Jesus was. Some admired His courage, others rejected Him outright. Many knew of Him, but few truly knew Him. Their hearts were full of curiosity and opinions, yet empty of faith. While they argued, the Son of God — in mercy and patience — warned them that rejection leads to separation from Him. Grace was offered, but unbelief prevailed.
Today, that warning still resonates: seek the Lord while He may be found. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, and eternity is closer than we think. The tragedy is not simply misunderstanding, but the choice to ignore the Savior. God’s door of mercy will not remain open indefinitely, and the invitation of grace will one day give way to judgment.
Right now, Christ calls, invites, and saves. Will you respond while His hand is still extended, or will you wait until it is too late?
