Matthew 7:13-14
Every path looks promising when you stand at the crossroads — but only one leads to life. In Matthew 7:13–14, Jesus delivers a truth that confronts every heart: there are two roads. One is broad, inviting, and easy to travel — lined with comfort, pleasure, and self-confidence. The other is narrow, steep, and often lonely — a road marked by surrender, sacrifice, and faith. One ends in destruction. The other in eternal life. There is no middle way.
In this message from Berean Bible Fellowship, we are called to examine which road we’re truly walking. The narrow gate is not entered by good intentions or borrowed faith; it requires a personal decision to follow Christ completely. The path of discipleship is demanding — it strips away pride, challenges comfort, and exposes what we love most. Yet it is also the road where grace meets perseverance, and where every step brings us closer to the heart of God.
The highway is crowded because it costs nothing — at least for a while. The narrow road feels costly because it demands everything — yet it leads to joy, peace, and eternal reward. Following Jesus means leaving behind the illusions of control and comfort, and choosing the rugged beauty of obedience. His way is not the easy way, but it is the only way that leads home.
Reconsider the urgency of the Savior’s call to enter through the narrow gate. The choice is yours — two roads, two destinies, one invitation that changes everything.
