Acts 26:1-18
Paul stands before King Agrippa and the leaders of Rome—not as a prisoner, but as a freed man of Christ. Once trapped in sin and self-righteousness, he recounts his dramatic rescue by the risen Savior. Like the psalmist, he was lifted from the pit of destruction, his feet set upon a rock, and a new song placed in his mouth. This passage is more than Paul’s testimony—it is a portrait of every believer’s transformation. We too were once blinded by pride, imprisoned by sin, and chasing false righteousness, yet God’s mercy reaches down to bring us into the light of His truth.
This message reminds us that salvation is not about climbing out of our own pit, but about surrendering to the One who lifts us. The same Jesus who appeared to Paul on the road to Damascus still calls to hearts today: “Why are you resisting Me?” His light pierces darkness, His forgiveness sets captives free, and His grace transforms even the hardest hearts. If God could take Saul the persecutor and make him Paul the preacher, imagine what He might do in your life if you let Him.
Whether you feel stuck in despair, guilt, or confusion, Christ’s hand is reaching out. The Lord specializes in taking broken, muddy lives and setting them on the solid rock of salvation. Reflect: Are you willing to let Him lift you today, trusting that no one is beyond His reach?
