Hebrews 11:20-22
Faith is a living chain, connecting the past, present, and future through the unbreakable promises of God. This teaching reflects on the lives of Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, showing that faith is not measured by perfection but by perseverance. Each life becomes a link in God’s redemptive story—Isaac trusting despite uncertainty, Jacob transformed from deception to devotion, and Joseph remaining steadfast in God’s faithfulness even in exile and danger.
Our own faith, though tested and refined, is strengthened as we walk alongside these examples. Like Isaac, we are called to rest in God’s promises; like Jacob, to finish well despite our failings; and like Joseph, to look beyond present trials toward the fulfillment of God’s word. Each story reminds us that obedience, trust, and devotion are the threads that unite generations of believers in God’s greater plan.
When we embrace faith in this way, our lives become part of the eternal chain that points to Christ and His redemptive work. How might your faith today serve as a link, strengthening the chain of God’s unending purpose and inspiring those who follow after you to trust in His promises?
