Acts 3:1-11
In “Leap Like a Deer,” we encounter a powerful reminder that the risen Christ continues to move through His followers. At the temple gate called Beautiful, Peter and John meet a man who had never walked, carried there daily to beg. Day after day, he sought silver and gold, unaware that God had something far greater in store — healing, restoration, and salvation in the name of Jesus Christ.
Peter’s words pierce the ordinary: “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ, walk!” Instantly, strength filled the man’s legs. The once-lame beggar stood, walked, and leaped for joy, praising God before an astonished crowd. This miracle was not human achievement but a divine sign that Jesus lives, reigns, and saves. The same power that worked through Christ now flows through His church, demonstrating that God’s authority extends beyond His earthly ministry.
The beggar’s leap became a living testimony: life without Christ may seem hopeless, but in Him, everything changes. Broken bodies, broken hearts, and paralyzed lives are restored when His name is invoked in faith. His miracle invites us to reflect: where do we need Jesus to lift us today? What chains of fear, despair, or sin could He break so that we, too, may leap in freedom and praise?
