John 9:35-41
In this message, we witness a remarkable encounter that reveals the transformative power of Christ—the story of a man born blind who gains not only physical sight but also spiritual understanding. After being healed, questioned, and cast out, he meets Jesus face-to-face. When asked, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” he responds with humility and curiosity: “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?” In that moment, Jesus reveals Himself as the Messiah, and the man worships, declaring, “Lord, I believe.”
This story captures the heart of the gospel: Jesus seeks the outcast, opens blind eyes, and transforms all who come to Him in faith. The true miracle is not only the restoration of sight but the awakening of the soul. Like the man born blind, we are all born spiritually blind—shaped by sin, pride, or disbelief. Yet the same Savior who sought him still pursues the lost, offering grace to those willing to acknowledge their need and exposing the blindness of those who claim to see.
The question remains for us today: Do we truly see Jesus for who He is? The greatest miracle occurs when our hearts are opened to His truth, allowing His light to illuminate our lives. Only by admitting our blindness can we embrace the gift of His grace, and like the man healed, respond with faith and worship. How are we inviting Christ to open our eyes and transform the way we see ourselves, others, and the world around us?
