Luke 17:20-25
When the Pharisees asked about the coming of the Kingdom of God, they failed to recognize the truth standing before them — Jesus Christ, the King Himself. His Kingdom is not measured by earthly landmarks or visible signs; it is a spiritual reality rooted in the hearts of those who believe. The Kingdom begins quietly, within transformed hearts surrendered to the King of Glory, unseen by the world yet active and powerful in the lives of the redeemed.
Jesus came not to establish a temporal throne, but to open the way into His eternal Kingdom through His suffering, death, and resurrection. His reign is everlasting, flowing through those born again by the Spirit, rather than through the structures of man. Even when the world doubts or mocks, His light shines through His people, revealing a Kingdom that cannot be shaken and a power that transcends human understanding.
This passage calls believers to recognize that the greatest reality is often hidden from sight — Christ reigning within. His Kingdom grows silently but effectively, transforming hearts and shaping lives. One day, His glory will be revealed to all, but until then, we are invited to live in the reality of His reign now. How is Christ ruling in your heart today? In what ways might you see His Kingdom expanding through your life? Are you living with the awareness that His Kingdom begins within you, yet has eternal significance beyond what the eye can see?
