Acts 18:18-28
Spiritual growth is often a journey of transitions, of letting go while being renewed. In this study, we see two believers at pivotal crossroads, each learning that zeal and knowledge alone cannot replace the transforming work of Christ. One carries the weight of tradition, honoring rituals yet surrendering fully to God’s leading. The other possesses passion and eloquence but discovers that humility opens the door to deeper truth and greater effectiveness in ministry.
The process is both gentle and intentional. God fades out the remnants of our past—old habits, former pride, incomplete understanding—and fades in the fullness of His grace, shaping us into vessels fit for His purposes. Growth requires openness: the willingness to be corrected, the readiness to embrace clarity, and the courage to step into a new season of faith. It’s a reminder that no matter our stage, God’s work is always ongoing, molding hearts, minds, and ministries through patience and love.
We are all in process, called to walk in humility, teachability, and faithfulness. How might we allow God to fade out what no longer serves Him in our lives, while inviting Him to fade in the newness He desires to create? In every season, His hand is steady, His timing perfect, and His purpose unwavering—transforming us into the likeness of Christ for the glory of His name.
