Hebrews 10:19-25
At the heart of the gospel lies the truth that access to God comes not through ritual or religion, but through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. For generations, the temple veil stood as a solemn reminder that sin separated humanity from the Holy One. Yet when Jesus gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice, that barrier was torn from top to bottom. Through His death, the way into God’s presence became living, open, and eternal.
The writer of Hebrews calls us to respond to this gift. We are invited to approach God with confidence, hearts purified and lives renewed by faith. We are urged to hold fast to our hope without wavering, trusting the One who is faithful to His promises. In addition, we are called to love one another, encouraging good works, gathering together, and spurring one another on as the day of Christ’s return draws near.
This passage reminds us that salvation is not merely doctrine—it is a living relationship with the risen Savior. His sacrifice is not a distant event but a present reality, ever powerful and effective. The Lamb who was slain continues to intercede for His people, calling them to holiness, unity, and love. He tore the veil and now invites us to come near—not as strangers trembling in fear, but as beloved sons and daughters welcomed into the very presence of God.
