Genesis 6:13-22
One of the most powerful images of God’s mercy appears in the story of Noah and the ark. Just as Noah was commanded to prepare for a year-long journey of faith, we are called to live in obedience, trusting God’s promises even when the world mocks or ignores His Word. The flood revealed both judgment and God’s covenant love — His desire to rescue those who believe.
History moves swiftly toward its final chapter, and the question is not if judgment will come, but whether we will be found safe within the ark — the refuge of Christ Himself. Noah’s obedience opened salvation for his family, just as faith in Jesus opens the door to eternal life. The ark was sealed with pitch; our lives are sealed by the Holy Spirit. The ark had one door, and Christ remains the only door through which we must enter to be saved.
The call is urgent: believe, prepare, and enter in. Those who walk in fellowship with God discover His secrets — the truth of His Word and the promise of deliverance. In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, our refuge is secure in Him. When God says, “Pack a lunch,” it is a call to trust, obey, and embark on the journey of faith that always leads to safety in His presence. How will you respond today to the refuge He provides?
