Acts 9:1-9
Some encounters change everything in an instant. On a journey filled with anger and conviction, a man thought he was serving God, yet every step drew him further from the truth. Then, a sudden, blinding light pierced the road ahead, halting him in his tracks and confronting him with a question that shook his soul: why do you fight against Me? In that moment, pride gave way to humility, blindness to sight, and hostility to grace. A life once defined by opposition to the gospel was forever transformed.
What happened on that dusty road reminds us of the profound power of divine intervention. God meets us where we are — in our confusion, our misdirected zeal, our brokenness — and calls us to something greater. The same One who confronted hostility with a question now meets every heart with mercy, offering a new mission and a fresh beginning. Transformation is not gradual here; it is immediate, radical, and life-altering.
Every believer carries echoes of this story. We were once spiritually blind, lost in our own ways, and unaware of the truth standing before us. Yet, when Christ illuminates the path, our purpose changes, our hearts awaken, and our lives are redirected toward His glory. Just as the persecutor rose from the dust to proclaim the gospel, we too are invited to rise — renewed, forgiven, and sent to live in the light of His presence.
Consider your own journey: where has Christ’s light broken through your darkness? In what ways has His mercy called you to leave old patterns behind and step into the life He offers? How might He be inviting you to rise today and embrace a mission only He can give?
