A Wife for Isaac
Genesis 24

In this tender Bible story, faith and love intertwine beneath the guiding hand of God. Abraham’s servant sets out on a journey of purpose, praying that the Lord would lead him to the one chosen for Isaac. By a well in the desert, his prayer is answered in a way only divine providence could arrange. Rebekah appears, kind and generous, offering water not only to the traveler but to his camels also — a small act of service that reveals a heart ready for God’s calling. Every detail of this encounter speaks of His care and perfect design.

When Rebekah is asked to leave her home and family to follow a promise, her reply is simple and strong: “I will go.” Those words, filled with courage and trust, echo through generations as a testimony of faith in motion. The long journey that follows becomes a path of obedience and destiny. As she draws near, Isaac lifts his eyes in the quiet of the evening and sees her coming — a meeting not born of chance, but of divine appointment. In that sacred moment, love and promise meet beneath the gaze of heaven.

“A Wife for Isaac” reminds us that God’s timing is never rushed and His guidance never uncertain. He weaves His purposes through prayer, patience, and surrender, leading us exactly where we need to be. Like Rebekah, we are called to say yes to His leading, even when the way ahead is unknown. For every step of obedience draws us closer to the fulfillment of His promises and the beauty of His faithful love.
