Our Sacred Privilege
Worship is more than melody or motion — it is the heartbeat of a surrendered soul. From the beginning of time, humanity was created for one purpose: to glorify the Creator. Yet in a culture that treats worship as performance or preference, we are called back to its true meaning — a life bowed before God in awe, humility, and love. Worship is not confined to the walls of a church or the sound of a song; it is a living response to the holiness of God that transforms every thought, word, and deed.
Pastor Bruce David Bell reminds us that worship begins where pride ends. In Scripture, both the Hebrew and Greek words for “worship” portray an act of falling down — of acknowledging that all power, purpose, and worth belong to Him alone. True worship is both attitude and action; it is obedience wrapped in adoration, gratitude expressed through surrender. Whether through prayer, service, or silence, genuine worship flows from a heart that knows its place before the King.
This episode unveils a sobering truth: everyone worships something. The question is not if we worship, but whom. Many exalt success, comfort, or self, yet only the living God satisfies the soul that bows before Him. To worship in spirit and truth, as Jesus declared in John 4:24, is to live every moment aware of His presence — to see His glory in both joy and trial, and to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice of praise.
