The Divine Revelation of Himself
To know God is the greatest pursuit of the human soul. In a world overflowing with confusion, counterfeit truth, and self-made images of deity, we are called to return to the revelation of the One who has made Himself known. God is not a mystery left to human imagination — He is the eternal Creator who has spoken through His Word, inviting us to behold His majesty and understand His heart. Every truth about life, purpose, and eternity flows from how we see Him, for what we believe about God shapes everything we believe about ourselves.
Pastor Bruce David Bell reminds us that though God is infinite, He is not distant. Through His attributes — His holiness that defines perfection, His power that sustains all things, His knowledge that sees every secret, and His love that fulfills perfect justice through Jesus Christ — we catch a glimpse of the divine. Unlike human hearts that shift with emotion or time, God’s nature never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His sovereignty rules the heavens, and His mercy reaches the lowest valley of human need.
Yet in our modern age, the church has often traded awe for comfort, molding God into an image that fits our culture rather than conforming ourselves to His truth. True worship begins not with music or ritual, but with right understanding — seeing God as He reveals Himself, not as we imagine Him to be. When we recapture reverence, we rediscover intimacy; when we know Him as He truly is, we love Him as we were created to.
Have we lost our wonder before the One who spoke the stars into being — or are we still bowing in awe before the God who reveals Himself?
