A Lifelong Journey
The call to follow Christ is not a momentary decision — it is a lifelong journey of devotion. Salvation begins the story, but sanctification shapes its every page. From the instant we trust in Jesus, God begins a refining work within us, molding our hearts, testing our faith, and drawing us ever closer to His likeness. The Christian life is not a sprint of emotion but a steadfast walk of endurance, obedience, and love. It is a sacred journey that demands both surrender and perseverance.
Pastor Bruce David Bell reminds us that true commitment to Christ means holding fast to Him in every season. It is clinging to the Savior when joy fills our hearts and when sorrow breaks them. As Hebrews 12:2 calls us to do, we fix our eyes on Jesus — the author and finisher of our faith — trusting Him to complete what He began. Through His Word, the Spirit speaks daily to comfort, correct, and guide. Time in Scripture is not a religious habit but a lifeline, connecting us to the living voice of God who still leads His people step by step.
Though following Christ comes with cost — self-denial, endurance, and sometimes rejection — the reward is deeper fellowship with the One who never fails. Every trial becomes a tool of grace, every challenge a moment to grow stronger in faith. When we live wholly unto the Lord, the sacred and the ordinary blend into one continuous act of worship. The true disciple learns that in Christ, nothing is wasted — every breath belongs to Him.
