The Attack of the Enemy

The Christian life is not a place of ease but a field of battle. Every follower of Christ steps into a war that began long before time — a conflict between light and darkness, truth and deception. The enemy of our souls is not a legend or metaphor, but a fallen being whose greatest ambition is to distort God’s Word and destroy God’s people. Yet even in the midst of this invisible war, there is hope — for the victory has already been won at the cross.

Pastor Bruce David Bell reveals how the enemy’s attacks are rarely dramatic; they are subtle, persuasive, and personal. He whispers doubt into faith, pride into humility, and distraction into devotion. When truth is challenged and hearts grow weary, we are reminded that our real struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces seeking to draw us away from Christ. But the armor of God — truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, and the Word — equips us to stand firm when the battle rages.

Through Scripture and the power of the Spirit, believers can live not in fear, but in confidence. The devil’s strategies are ancient, yet they crumble before the authority of Christ. Our strength is not in resistance alone, but in resting on the victory that is already ours. When we walk in truth and cling to faith, the enemy’s roar fades into silence before the power of our Redeemer.

Are you standing firm on the victory Christ has already won, or are you still fighting battles He has already conquered?
