We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
It is inerrant, accurate and reliable and is the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
(2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)
We worship the One True God,
Who manifests Himself as three co-equal and co-eternal Persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19)
God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, took upon Himself human form,
being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He never ceased to be God, yet He laid aside His rights and privileges
as Deity.
During His life on earth, He remained absolutely sinless.
(John 1:1, Matthew 1:18-23, Philippians 2:6-8, 1 John 3:5)
All people are sinful by nature and by practice and are therefore separated from God.
(Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:9-23, Isaiah 59:2)
Our sin demands the punishment of a Holy and a Righteous God.
(Ezekiel 18:20, Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 20:15, Matthew 13:50)
Because of His great love for us,
God the Father sent His Son to die for us. (John 3:16)
At the Cross, Jesus Christ suffered God’s punishment for our sin.
He became sin, our sin. (2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 3:25-26)
Christ arose bodily from the dead and has ascended into heaven,
where He presently intercedes for believers.
(1 Corinthians 15:4, Acts 1:9, Hebrews 4:14,7:25-26, 1 John 2:1)
It is the blood of Christ alone that provides our only way for salvation,
for forgiveness of sin, and for eternal life in heaven.
By grace we are saved, through faith.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Romans 4:5, 1 Peter 1:19, Revelation 5:9)
To be saved,
we must first agree with God that we are sinners. (Romans 3:23)
We must admit that all of our sin is against Him. (Psalm 51:4)
We must desire to turn away from our sin.
(Isaiah 53:6, Acts 26:20, Mark 1:15, Ezekiel 33:11)
We must believe in our heart that on the cross,
Jesus Christ paid for our sins, by pouring out His blood. (Hebrews 9:22)
Each individual must make that decision. (Acts 16:31)
We must publicly confess that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. (Romans 10:9)
We know that all our sins are paid for by the blood of Christ,
because He has risen from the dead. (1 Peter 1:3)
God the Holy Spirit lives in every believer. (Romans 8:9-11)
He guides us into all truth. (John 16:13)
He enables us to live a life that is pleasing to God. (Galatians 5:16)
He leads us in worship and in service. (John 16:14, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)
He bears witness within us that we belong to Christ. (Romans 8:14-17)
There is one Church,
those who have been called out of the world.
The Church is a living spiritual body of believers. The Body of Christ.
(Ephesians 1:22-23, 1 Corinthians 12:22-26)
There are two ordinances for the Church:
Baptism for believers, who are immersed in water,
as an outward public testimony of an inward conversion. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:35-38)
The Lord’s Supper (Communion) for believers, instituted by Jesus Christ
as a way for us to remember His sacrifice for us
and our fellowship with Him. (Matthew 26:26-28, 1 Corinthians 10:16-17,11:23-32)
The Church is looking for the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ,
to bring all believers home to heaven. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
As those who belong to Christ,
it is our responsibility to bring the good news of Jesus Christ, the gospel message,
to a lost world
and to make disciples for Him. (Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Corinthians 5:20)
By His mercy, He has pulled us up out of the pit of our sin.
By His grace, He has set our feet upon a rock.
We rest in the finished work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We are forgiven.
We are sons and daughters of the King.
All glory and majesty and honor and praise and thanksgiving
be to Him forever.
Amen.
